Interview recording
Ultra Electronics provides an end–to–end Digital Interview Solution and associated services, which meets criminal justice standards for evidential weight and legal admissibility as well as Management of Police Information (MOPI) guidance. The solution includes Ultra Electronics’ mercuryIR digital interview recording device for suspect, victim, witness and other interviews in fixed and off-site locations; Ultra Electronics Medirva® interview transcription, content management and delivery software, which is used to manage digital interview files as part of an end-to-end networked solution and Ultra Electronics’ Syntaxis secure remote access platform.
NPIA framework
Ultra Electronics’ Digital Interview Solution, available under the NPIA’s Digital Interview Framework Arrangement (contract number NPIA00073b), consists of the following building blocks:
- Capture Device (e.g. cameras, microphones and recording mechanisms).
- Capability to add metadata and upload to a repository (either local, force-wide, regional or national repository).
- Software repository supplied to store and manage digital evidence files in accordance with MOPI records management requirements (and any minor local variations ).
- Transcription
- Secure Access Platform
